The saga of lady miss - a play in two acts
written by: Magdalena pogue
directed by: Cleo La Muneca

Exhibition Period
February 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd

THE SAGA OF LADY MISS – AN EXPERIMENTAL THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE AT EVOKE GALLERY
In a dressing room suspended in time now, long ago, and yet to come three women prepare for a show. Lady Miss Past is haunted by memories, Lady Miss Present assembles herself piece by piece, and Lady Miss Future waits for something real. Yet, through it all, a single voice echoes over the loudspeaker, binding their fates together.

Blurring the lines between theater and installation,  Arthaus Vigil transforms Evoke Gallery into an immersive space where time folds in on itself. This is not a traditional stage play it is an experience, an invitation to witness fragmented moments of identity, performance, and fate unfold in real time.

But the night doesn’t end there. As the final words fade, the energy shifts, act two begins. The dressing room doors swing open, and the space transforms into a dancefloor. Stay, move, and lose yourself in the rhythm as we continue the conversation through music, movement, and shared presence.

Join us at Evoke Gallery for a one-of-a-kind evening where theater and nightlife collide.

This Is Our Life Film and Gallery
Filmmaker: Blair St. George
producer: Grace lester

Exhibition Period
March 7th, 8th

TThis is Our Life is a gallery named after the microdocumentary created in collaboration with the subjects of the film: Nesma Kreyyem, Nagham Kreyyem, Reyad Kreyyem, Nabeel Al Shokri, Omar bin Nabil, Basem Alhabel, Ahmed Alagha, Layanne Kreyyem, Noor Mohammed, Yasmeen Shahwan, and Motaz Ahmed Shahwan. The film follows the struggles of these Gazans living through genocide and searching for hope amidst calamity.

Filmmaker Blair St. George explores the way that messages from Gaza are a literal lifeline, not only to survival, but to a future in which there is the freedom to dream. The entire dialogue of This is Our Life is directly quoted messages from Blair’s Gazans friends, and their voices are displayed in 3 languages: Arabic, the native language of Palestinians, English, the native language of the filmmaker, and Chinese, a secondary language of the filmmaker and a language reminiscent of the cultural heritage of the ink and brush paintings created by Blair and portrayed in the film, highlighting their Gazan friends’ faces, memories, and dreams. The text-to-speech voice of the narrator was chosen to honor the deaf Palestinians who use this technology to add audio to the videos that they create documenting their lives in Gaza, and to create a unified voice of all of our friends asking for the same thing: for our help to work alongside them in the fight to survive.

This is Our Life is a message to all of us about the power of connection and the responsibility to turn hope into action.

A viewing of This is Our Life will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Blair and producer Grace. Original artworks by Blair and Grace will displayed and available for purchase in the gallery space. 100% of art sales and ticket sales will be used for mutual aid for Palestinians."

Art is personal. It’s messy, it’s real, and for Kenya Cree, it’s a way to share her story. We recently spoke with Kenya about her journey with ceramics—how working with clay lets her explore identity, the human body, and her own experiences. Every piece she creates feels like a piece of her—imperfect, but full of meaning. We’re excited to share a limited release of her 'Brown Body Vases,' a small collection of four pieces that celebrate the strength and beauty of the human form. Each vase is unique, reflecting Kenya’s hands and heart in every curve and detail. These aren’t just objects—they’re pieces of her story, and when you have one, you’re part of that. Head to Evoke Gallery’s online shop to learn more and get your hands on one of these vases while they last.
